Tuesday, June 24, 2003--Shortly after waking up, my mom had to take me to Leland to get my transcript for Berkeley. While I was there, she went and got money from Bank of America. Then, we went to the airport where we got 65,000 yen, and I'm gonna get half of it. (By the way, that's actually not a lot of money...)
Then, we went and picked up Franklin from Mitty and had lunch at Showgi.
Afterwards, I came home. I decided not to work on
Dark Fiends Chapter 27 because there was no way I was going to finish before I went to Japan. I ended up talking to Connie a lot, and I read some Harry Potter.
Not much of an eventful day, you know?
Oh, wait, I honor duelled Bernard today and beat him with my Essence Sliver. However, yesterday, he beat me twice, first with the Megrims and Wheels of Torture. Then, he beat me with his superior air force (including a Sengir). I designed a Wall deck today. Sunwebs, yo!
Dice Roll of the Day: 4 + 4 = 8
If you ever meet a cute girl who understands Japanese, you can tell her "anata wa kawaii".
Good Night!
Monday, June 23, 2003--Why is god posting in my guestbook? Speaking of guestbooks, in response to that one guy's post: I specifically asked her, and she doesn't mind being called Beth, which is why I call her Beth all the time now. I've only slipped up once or twice...
Anyways, This morning, I finished and posted
Dark Fiends Chapter 26.
Then, I played FF7 a bunch and then went to the SJYS rehearsal. During break, we were signing up for bus-rides, and apparently, someone took the entire Bus 1 away. That's why Bus 2 filled up so quickly. In the end, I snagged a seat in Bus 1, which is good, since Bus 1 has all the cool people in it.
Ihui wanted to borrow my stand, so Nicole was left stand-less. I think they should start bringing their own stands. Oh, wait, we don't need to bring our own stands to Japan.
After rehearsal I came home. The day was extremely short...
Dice Roll of the Day: 4 + 4 = 8
*yawn* When was the last time I yawned? I'll give an ePrize (which actually doesn't exist) to the first person who can tell me.
Good Night!
Sunday, June 22, 2003--Well, I woke up today, and after eating breakfast and related stuff, I played FF2.
*2*
I didn't get to play much. I saved just outside of Kas'ion. Then, as I climbed the castle, on the 4th floor, I got killed by 2 Ogre Mages and 2 Ogres. The Ogre Mages put my entire party to sleep and then everyone started bashing on my guys. I never had a chance to run or fight, as everyone was sleeping, and in FF2, they don't wake up when you smack them. It was the worst way to die.*2*
I didn't get to play much, because I had to go to SJYS dress rehearsal before the concert. Everything went well. Andrew Matsuoka made an appearance in the audience. Apparently some cellist gave him a free ticket because his neighbor backed out at the last second.
Also, the Burger King on Santana Row is ridiculously slow. I thought it was supposed to be a fast food restaurant. (In case anyone hasn't noticed, all Burger Kings are slow... You can only consider them fast food if you consider that they're fast to
eat.) Emma and Beth didn't get lunch.
And apparently, Emma's name sounds like "everyone".
Also, Franklin and my mom had stopped at the card shop to get the Sliver Overlord, Crystalline Sliver, and 4 Golden Wishes I wanted. Now, I can pull off Infinite Slivers more easily than before!
Coming back home, I played more FF2.
*2*
I went back up Kas'ion Castle. This time, I made sure to use the Memo Save more often. Also, after reaching the fourth floor again, I had to Warp back out because Maria was almost out of MP. Luckily, all that MP usage had boosted her max MP all the way to 50 from 27--almost doubling it. During the second trip back up Kas'ion, my Cure magic levelled up to Level 2. I kept getting killed up there. Sometimes, I'd get attacked by an Adamantoise (yes, they were the boss of the previous dungeon) and it'd kill Maria (my sole magic user) in one hit. Then, I'd be screwed, because for some reason, it's ridiculously hard to run from those things, and I can't kill it without magic. A couple of times, I got killed again and again by more Ogres and Ogre Mages using the cheap sleep/kill strategy. Lucky thing I made those Memo Saves. FF2 is definitely getting harder now...
At the end of the Castle Kas'ion, I found Egil's Torch, but it was guarded by a boss that looked like a flame, so naturally, I used Ice Magic on it. Whoops! I ended up healing it instead. Anyways, it's name is Shrieker, and it casts Level 8 Magic on you for a few turns, then it starts smacking you. Thank goodness, because I don't think I could have taken so much Level 8 Magic the whole battle. I beat him on my first try, but not before he wiped out everyone except Maria. I decided to reset and try again (I Memo Saved just outside the door) and this time, I beat him with all my guys alive and healthy. Then, I retrieved Egil's Torch behind him. I didn't want to fight my way down again, because Maria had only 3 MP, so I used Warp for 1 and then I cured her with the last 2. Then, I re-entered the Castle and grabbed the Sunfire with the Egil's Torch.
As soon as I come out, Princess Hilda comes in Cid's Airship to congratulate me personally, but the Dreadnought intercepts it and captures her. Stupid Princess! Now I gotta go rescue her, and she's a long walk from anywhere I am. Well, at least while I'm rescuing her, I get to destroy the Dreadnought while I'm at it, which is what I've been trying to do for the last how many weeks?*2*
Ah, that was long, insightful, and frustrating. After that, there's not much to tell.
Dark Fiends Chapter 26 won't be up tonight. Maybe tomorrow. (Alternately, maybe not. Don't get your hopes up. Despite it being summer, I have better things to do than work on
Dark Fiends 24/7.)
Dice Roll of the Day: 1 + 4 = 5
Well, it's Monday tomorrow. Maybe it's time to do some real work. Good Night!
Saturday, June 21, 2003--Well, I woke up and after eating breakfast and related stuff, I played FF1.
*1*
I made my way to the bottom of Terra Cave and beat the damned Vampire, but the damned Earth didn't come back to life. I did get a Star Ruby, though, and I fed it to the Titan so he'd let me through his cave. Then, I met up with Sadda the Sage who told me that the Vampire is just a minion of the true culprit who's blocking the flow of the Earth's power, and he gave me the Earth Rod to go back to the Terra Cave to open a locked staircase. Heh, I think Lich (that bitch) is down there, but I don't know for sure.*1*
Yeah, FF1 is a slow game, especially there are no save points to heal up at. FF2 is just plain easy. FF2 is
ridiculously easy.
Then, I ate some chicken for lunch.
After that, I worked on
Dark Fiends Chapter 26, which, if we're lucky, will be up tomorrow. Then, I decided to replay FF7 for the hell of it. Heh, I enjoy re-naming my characters after people that I know.
After eating McDonald's for lunch, I updated my website and started reading Harry Potter Book 5, which I just acquired today.
Wow... short day...
Dice Roll of the Day: 2 + 6 = 8
Apparently, Joanna doesn't want me to teach her how to play Chess.
Anyways, Good Night!
Friday, June 20, 2003--I went to Kamimoto's to get my viola cleaned, my bow rehaired, and my strings changed. When I went to the SJYS rehearsal later that day, it felt like a completely new instrument. It sounded better. It was easier to play. It's like... Wow!
Rehearsal technically started at 1pm, but we had a one and a half hour discussion on what to beware of in Japan. Then, we had a 5 minute break. Umm... I thought rehearsal never really began, so what are we taking a break from?
At our dinner break, I had some baby back ribs at Chili's.
I also talked to the harpy... I mean the harpist. She reminds me of Sarah, actually. That's probably a bad thing...
Anyways, it eventually got so dark in the building (there were no lights) that even though the rehearsal was supposed to end at 9pm, Yair ended it at 8:30pm or so.
Me: Did you watch the sunset through the window?
Harpy: No.
Me: Why didn't you? You weren't playing half the time.
Harpy: I was reading half the time.
Anyways... coming home, I went online... and did... online... stuff.
Umm...
Dice Roll of the Day: 2 + 2 = 4
Short entry today.
Anyways, I wish you the Goodest of Nights!
Thursday, June 19, 2003 - Addendum--Actually, there's not much more to add. Heh, I slept so much today. It's like: come home from Grad Nite, sleep, go to rehearsal, sleep, go online and post
Dark Fiends Chapter 25, sleep. Haha!
It's kind of sad. The end of Grad Nite marked the end of my existence at Leland High School. Now, High School is behind me and the rest is ahead of me.
Still, despite having left Leland behind, not everything had to end. It will all begin anew, and maybe I can be happy for once...
Dice Roll of the Day: 6 + 1 = 7
Ack! Another 7?
Anyways, Good Night! For real, this time.
Thursday, June 19, 2003--Anyways...
To the people who posted in my guestbook: Hi, anonymous person. Hey, anonymous person!
I decided to make the cutoff here because it was really when I went to bed in my own bed that marked the end of Wednesday for me, even though it was technically Thursday morning.
Anyways, I arrived back home at 6am. I told my mom that I could go to the rehearsal at 10am, so my mom wakes me up at 9am, and I'm like, "Argh! Too tired! I'll go after lunch." And she's like, "I told you so!"
Later, I wake up at 11am. I finished
Dark Fiends Chapter 25, but didn't get time to post it until later.
Then, I went to the SJYS rehearsal. So many people were tired and sleepy, but Yair made us a deal: If we concentrated on the music and stayed awake, he'd let us out early. After that, we worked really hard and he let us out at 4:15pm instead of 5pm.
So, now I had to get my ride earlier, so I called home. Franklin picked it up. I asked him where our mom was (she was at work). He asked me where I was (I was at the SJYS rehearsal). Then, I asked him where he was. Whoops!
When I got home, I posted
Dark Fiends Chapter 25. I talked to Connie online for but 5 minutes, but then, I had to go help Franklin with his Chemistry Homework, and Connie had to go while I was in the middle of helping Franklin. Argh!
Ach! I gotta go. I'll finish this some other day.
Good Night!
Wednesday, June 18, 2003--Choices, choices, choices... Do I make today and tomorrow's entry a single entry, because, after all, Grad Nite connected the two to make today like the day and tomorrow like the night. In the end, I decided to keep them separate, because it wouldn't make much sense to merge them.
Anyways, my mom discovered that the Rose Garden is right next to her office, so she would drive me out of convenience. Also, she had to drive some random Bret Harte girl to her office for some reason, so the girl shows up in the morning. A few minutes later, she decides to play checkers, and I killed off so many of her pieces. Then, I kinged the rest of my pieces, so in the end, it was like 8 of my kings againt 3 of hers. Then, we had to leave, but I'm certain I would have won.
The graduation practice went all right. Then, at home, I worked on
Dark Fiends and played Worms. However,
Dark Fiends chapter 25 would not get posted today.
Then, I went to graduation. After it was all done, I caught up with my parents, who took a lot of photos. I don't get what's up with moving your tassel from the left to the right.
Jackie showed up
after the ceremony was done, and I, apparently, was the first person she saw. Then, my parents were like, "Do you want to take a picture with her?" And I was like, "Uhhh..." Because it would have been awkward for me to answer either way, but she said sure, and we ended up taking the photo anyway. So now, apparently, I have a picture of me & Jackie...
My parents thought Jackie was a senior who already changed out of her robes, and she said, "I'm not a senior. I'm a junior,"
at the same time as I said, "She's not a senior. She's a junior." It was... uncanny.
Dinner at Boston Market, aka Massachusetts Grilled Chicken. Then, I went home to change out of my suit before going to Grad Nite.
Arriving at Leland, they assigned me to the number 173. What?!? I've been degraded to a
number now?
The bus-ride was... full of perversion. Among the less perverted things was:
Alan: Ryan's Lord of the Taco. He created the One Taco, forged from the fires of Mt. Doom.
Me: Hmm... I think I ate the One Taco.
Alan: Argh!
At Grad Nite, the first thing I did was play and beat Time Crisis 3, using 16 out of my 20 free tokens (13 credits). It's a cool game, and it's better than Time Crisis 2, I think, because of the new weapons and the bosses were a lot better. Still, I think the original Time Crisis was the best because of the Challenge. If time ran out, you actually lose, unlike in TC2 & TC3, in which if time runs out, you just lose a lot of points. Also, in TC1, if you die, you have start the stage all over again, but in TC2 and TC3, you keep on going from where you left off. Also, the bosses in TC1 were so much harder. The ninjas weren't stupid enough to stand in front of you for 3 seconds before slashing you. No, they'd jump at you and smack you, giving you barely any time to react. (At least TC3
had ninjas, while TC2 had none at all... not that I could remember.) Also, Sherudo was a really tough boss. The only opportunity to shot him was when he through a knife at you, so you had to be reall fast and accurate. Wild Dog was also a tough boss, as he popped out of a corner and fired, so you also had to be fast and accurate. Yeah, and none of the bosses ever stayed in one place to ever give you an easy shot at them, unlike the guys in TC2 and TC3. Also, in TC1, the bullets that will hit you don't flare up. They just hit you, so you're in constant fear of getting hit. Yeah, that's what I liked about TC1, the difficulty is what made it fun. The girl from TC3 was cute, though.
I wasted my last 4 tokens playing 2 quarters of NFL Blitz with Andrew, whom I beat 20 to 0--3 touchdowns and one 2 point conversion.
I also watched Christine Wu play DDR
a lot. She's apparently very good at it, and she likes jumping.
The line for Laser Tag was so long it wasn't worth playing. Instead, I played craps (sp?) a bunch. I like rolling the dice. Yes, in craps, rolling a seven is
bad. I was winning a bunch, though. However, 10 minutes before the Casino closed, I decided I might as well go all out, so I bet really, really recklessly and lost almost everything. In the end, I was left with only 275 out of the 1000 or so I started out with.
I also watched Christine Wu play DDR
a lot.
Hmmm... I can't seem to remember too much else what happened during Grad Nite.
Wait! I remembered something.
Me: Hey, Kristen, are you tall enough to ride those racecars?
Kristen: Yeah.
Me: I see. Oh, and sorry if I offended you or anything.
Kristen: No, it's all right. That's actually a very valid question to ask.
Toward the end, I heard an announcement over the PA system, but I couldn't understand a word of it, as it was too quiet over the noise of the people. A minute later, all the video games shuts down, so I say to Christine, "I think I figured out what that announcement was a minute ago. He said they were going to shut down the games." Christine was complaining because she couldn't play DDR anymore.
Dice Roll of the Day: 4 + 3 = 7
No! The whole field just got destroyed!
Anyways, I slept on the bus home--it was like 4am. Then, arriving at Leland, I drove back home and slept.
Good Night!
Tuesday, June 17, 2003--After driving Franklin to school, I went to the Graduation Rehearsal, where a handful of us were quite early. Among them was Christine Wu, who was apparently very disoriented... probably from having to wake up so early.
The graduation rehearsal (which they said would start at 8:30) started at like 9 o'clock. Then, they talked for about 20 minutes. Then, we practiced the real thing and it took like 10 minutes. Geez...
Then, was the Senior Brunch. We were like locusts. In mere minutes, the table was empty of anything remotely good. The only thing left were strawberries and bagels (but no cream cheese). Lucky for me, I got my bagel and cream cheese and my donut.
Here's a math problem for you: At 9:40, Dwayne grabbed a bagel and started eating it just outside the MAH room. Every minute, Dwayne eats half of the remainder of the bagel. Some time later, Dwayne's friend Stephanie walks out of the MAH room, and Dwayne offers her the last 1/256th of his bagel, which she promptly declines. At what time did Stephanie walk out of the MAH room?
It's based on a true story. The only differences were that my bagel eating was more linear than it was exponential decay, and I finished the bagel in 10 minutes and offered none to Stephanie, who came out after 12 minutes.
During the break between the two finals (for underclassmen), I found Connie leaning against the wall by the library. Apparently, her friends had "ditched her" and that she "felt sick and felt like throwing up" so "[I] should be careful". I didn't leave her, though. Instead, I stayed with her and we had a nice, long chat.
Then, break was over and I went home, where I finished
Dark Fiends chapter 24. Hopefully, chapter 25 will be up tomorrow.
At noon, I went back to Leland and picked Frank up. Then, we went to Showgi to eat their Japanese buffet. About 10-20 minutes into the lunch, Franklin says something that I couldn't hear. Then, all of a sudden, Stephanie's mom taps me on the shoulder so that Steph and her mom can say "Hi" to me. After we said "Hi" and they took a seat elsewhere, I asked Franklin what he said. Apparently, he had said, "Stephanie's here."
A minute later, Alan, Justin, Ryan, and Mark show up. I told them that I probably couldn't go with them to Alan's house because we can't all fit into 1 car, and I didn't want to drive up the mountain.
By then, Franklin and I had finished our lunch, so we went home, where I did more work on
Dark Fiends.
I also played lots and lots of Worms Armageddon, which is a really fun game. In fact, I played it so much I did practically nothing else for the rest of the night...
...except for go online and update my website, of course.
Dice Roll of the Day: 2 + 1 = 3
Oh, and if I don't update tomorrow, it's probably because I'm at Grad Nite.
Anyways, Good Night!
Monday, June 16, 2003--Because I'm a senior, while all the underclassmen are taking their finals, I (along with the rest of the seniors) get to party. However, the Senior Slideshow began at 10:00, but I went to school at 9:40 (not counting when I dropped Franklin off at 8am). I met up with her and told her I came to school today just to see her, which is actually true because I couldn't care less about the Slideshow or the pool party.
The slideshow sucked.
Then, we went to the pool party, where I had some Togo's sandwiches, but I didn't swim. However, Justin and Alan did.
Then, at 12 o'clock noon, when all the underclassmen are let out of their classes for the day, I went over to the Japanese room even to pick up Franklin even though that wasn't the real reason I went to the Japanese room for.
Afterwards, I ate lunch at Burger King and came home, where I played Worms Armageddon and worked on
Dark Fiends Chapter 24, which, hopefully, should be up by tomorrow.
I was almost late the the SJYS rehearsal, because I was cutting my fingernails and because I had left my viola in my dad's car, but somehow, despite being almost late, they didn't start for another 10 minutes.
I don't think I'll have time to see that movie... Oh, well. I could always watch the movie after I get back from Japan...
Dice Roll of the Day: 1 + 1 = 2
Whoa! I rolled a 2! How uncanny! Today must be my
unlucky day!
Hmm... uneventful day today.
Good Night!
Sunday, June 15, 2003 - Addendum--Whoever has the IP Address
68.165.96.178 needs to get a life. They actually went and voted almost 2000 times on my website poll. I know the moron probably likes the flail a lot, but to vote nearly 2000 times on my poll is the dorky way to show it. As a result, I had to ban his IP address, fix the stats to show the correct values, and made it harder to mass-vote.
Sunday, June 15, 2003--Today, I woke up and played hella Worms Armageddon. It's a fun game, especially if you use hard-to-use-but-insanely-powerful super weapons.
Then, I played FF2.
*2*
I stopped by at Bafsk and got the Basuna and Esuna scrolls. Then, I went to Salamand and got Josef in my party. Then, I stopped by at the Semitt Cave and got the Snowcraft. Then, I sledded all the way to the Snow Cave, where I fought my way all the way down to the bottom, wasting my MP as I went along. Thus, I only had 1 MP left when I fought the boss, the Adamantoise, who can only be hurt by magic! Argh! Lucky thing I made the Memo Save right before I fought him. I had saved 1 MP just for this situation, but for some reason Warp doesn't work in this dungeon, so I had to fight all the way back. I'll have to go back to Salamand and heal and go back down, making sure not to waste my magic next time.*2*
Then, I went to lunch at KFC, and after that, the SJYS rehearsal at the American Musical Theater in San Jose. This full-day rehearsal only lasted form 3pm to 7pm, so that it wasn't that bad. That Beth is a strange girl. Normally, she's really shy around me and never talks (probably because I've made so many jokes that involved her and "cute"), and she still is, but at one point today, she burst out saying, "Hi Dwayne! Is school over for you yet? What school do you go to?" *shrig*
After the rehearsal, I ate dinner at Cupertino Village. Then, I came home and played some more FF2.
*2*
I did what I said I would do. I went back to Salamand and healed up at the Inn. Then, I returned to the Snow Cave, fought my way back down to the bottom, and iced the Adamantoise with Ice3. The sucker died so fast it wasn't even funny. Behind him was the Goddess's Bell, which was what I came for. Then, on my way out, I was attacked by Borghen, who was ridiculously easy. Two hits, and he was utterly dead. However, before he died, he dropped a rock on us, and Josef sacrificed his life to save the rest of my party, just like the reference in FF9 told me he would. Now that I have the Goddess's Bell, next stop: Kas'ion!*2*
Anyways, afterwards, I got online and had a long 2 hour discussion with Alan in which I repeatedly disproved relativity until Alan understood what I was saying... kind of. And it's not a joke proof, either. It's a real proof. Either I actually disproved relativity or the teachers (Dr. Goodstein included) don't know how to teach it properly.
Dice Roll of the Day: 4 + 6 = 10
Ah, it's getting late. Good Night!
Saturday, June 14, 2003--Today, I graduated from the San Jose Chinese School. I was only told at the last second that I would have to prepare a speech, so I bullshitted a speech which basically said I learned a lot of Chinese but forgot most of it (in Chinese, of course). When Yily gave her speech, she was crying. Oh, my!
Then, the Principal, or whoever the heck he was, gave a really long speech, but not before Kevin Chang the Elder and Stacie Shih gave their speeches.
Then, the class did their Super Saturday thing--which is a parody of the Chinese TV show Super Sunday. It sucked.
We had lunch at Leland, which is where the Chinese School is, and Jessica Chen was either harassing Franklin or being harassed by Franklin--or both. I don't know which.
Then, I had to rush to the SJYS all-day rehearsal #1, which I missed half of because I was at Chinese School graduating. After it was all done (it was over at 5pm today), I said to Emma, "Looks like I can't say Good Night to you this time." (Normally, rehearsals are at night, and when their done, I occasionally say Good Night to Emma, which is actually something that started in camp last summer.)
Anyway, coming home, I played FF1.
*1*
I completely explored the bottom level of the Marsh Cave, including getting some nice stuff from the locked rooms. Then, I delivered the Nitro Powder to Nelic so my boat wouldn't be trapped in that god awful inland sea. Then, I went to Melmond, where I supposedly have to kill a Vampire in Terra Cave who is blocking the flow of the Earth's Energy, causing the Earth to decay. The funny thing is, Terra Cave is on a peninsula called Devil's Tail, which is actually shaped like a Devil's Tail!.
Also, there was this one place in the Terra Cave where every step you take, you get attacked by some Hill Gigas'es, which are powerful, but get you a lot of experience and Gil. It's because of those guys that I was able to afford the ridiculously expensive (45000 Gil) Knight's Armor at the Melmond shop. I don't know if it was worth it, because most enemies already do only 1 damage to my Warrior anyway.
At this point, I've explored the first floor and half of the second floor of the Terra Cave. I think the Vampire is on the third floor. Well, it's time to take him out.
Oh, and I got Life magic at Melmond for my White Mage! I'm so happy!*1*
Later tonight, I downloaded a program that converts CD tracks into MP3's, so if anyone wants the MP3 version of
Doomfall and Hope, just IM me for it.
Dice Roll of the Day: 6 + 4 = 10
Ah, that's all there is. There is no more. Good Night!
Friday, June 13, 2003--Woot! Friday the Thirteenth! My lucky day!
In first period, I finished the Physics C solution key that Mr. Woytek wanted it. Then, I passed it to Ke, who made the delivery at 4th period.
You know, today's my last day of high school, ever. Actually, it's the last day for
all seniors. Next Monday and Tuesday, we'll be partying, and on Wednesday, we're graduating. Thus, I spent much of today saying goodbye to everyone, especially the little freshgirls I've grown so attached to. I'll miss them all.
Second period, the CDs are out. If anyone knows how to convert a CD track to an MP3, please tell me... please. We listened to the CDs. Some of the track, especially the 4 original tracks (mine included) sound really good.
In third period, in the YAMS commercial, Yily kept randomly appearing under the table, only to disappear and be replaced by a Yam.
In fourth period, I duelled Alexei and creamed him pretty badly. Then, Mr. Roske blew up a ballon full of hydrogen. The explosion was so loud, and I visibly saw the balloon flare up as it burst. The shockwave was so powerful that it set off a nearby car alarm. Man, it's that kind of stuff that's why I signed up for Chemistry class. Mr. Roske says, "It's that kind of stuff that's also really expensive to do."
Also, while trying to get Alexei's attention, Justin called out, "Russkie!" Roske turns around. Justin says, "Uhh... I said 'Russkie', not 'Roske'." Heh, it reminds me of sophomore year when Justin was trying to get my attention. He called out, "Smart One!" and Sarah turned around. Justin's like, "Uhh... I meant Dwayne, not you." Apparently Sarah's not smart. Poor Sarah.
At lunch, I signed Connie's yearbook.
Then, I went to the Math Club Awards Thing/Pizza Party. How did I get 2nd place Atlantic-Pacific? I didn't even go to
half of those. Joanna was surprised that I didn't get ranked for CAML, but I told her it was because I purposely pulled my name out of the Math Club list so that the only CAML records on me would be with the CAML office. I didn't want an award from Math Club, so naturally, I threw it away. Plus, a giant, 3-in-1 trophy from Sophomore year is good enough. So, Joanna is now CAML Chair for Math Club and Stephanie is now Treasurer. Now, both can still take care of the Math Team--one takes care of the CAML scores and the other takes care of the money--even though they aren't captains. Congratulations, Joanna and Stephanie! Heh, I said my last goodbyes to them. I'm going to miss them--Stephanie and her marshmellow hair thing and Joanna and her... Joanna-ness.
Fifth period...
In sixth period, we had a party, and Miss Koyanagi gave us all leis. The funny thing was, just before class, Lei Huang (and Ke) visited me in the classroom. After Miss Koyanagi gave us the leis, she said, "Now you can go home and tell your parents, 'I got lei'ed.'"
After school, I played Worms Armageddon with Franklin. Then, I had to get a carpool with Jenn Chen to go to the Chinese School Banquet. During the car ride, I discussed Berkeley EECS classes with Jenn Chen's big brother.
Mmm... tasty food. Why is Yily Lily so flirtatious?
After stuffing myself like a water ballon, I duelled Justin. Twice, I played my Slivers against his Goblins and lost. Then, we switched decks and I still lost twice. Then, Denis made some edits to the decks, and he managed to use my Slivers to outspeed Justin's Goblins. Denis is apparently a very skilled Magic player. He really knows what he's doing.
Anyways, I played Tic Tac Toe with Yily. We Cat's Gamed 3 times. Then, I decided to use the corner trap on her. I played my first X in the corner. She made a move. I said to her, "You lost already." She might have been impressed.
Earlier in the evening, I said to Yily, "You know what would be freaky? If you randomly appeared under the table." Haha!
Haha, earlier in the evening, after the duelling but before the Tic Tac Toe, I had to inform Amy
twice, that her cell phone was ringing, because she couldn't hear it, apparently.
Anyways, it's all over now. Ahh...
Dice Roll of the Day: 2 + 1 = 3
Anyways, Good Night! Tonight, I dream of you! *points off in a random direction at nothing*
Thursday, June 12, 2003--First period, I was working on the Physics C solution key that Mr. Woytek wanted. Speaking of which, I still need to finish it. It ain't hard at all. Just time consuming, is all.
Second period, we listened to what would become the CD. Heh, apparently I'm exempt from the final. No wonder I never even heard about it.
Third period... hilarious commercials.
In fourth period, Alexei brought his green/red deck, and I creamed him with my Slivers.
Then, I played Nathan's black/white deck and creamed him, mainly with the Crystalline Sliver (no more terrors) and the Brood Sliver. I beat him with tokage (mass tokens, sliver in this case)!
and Toxin, I destroyed the Seraph for a second time and my Ward Sliver survived. With only 8 Life (and he at almost 20), I managed to use the Overlord to get out the Crystalline and the Brood Sliver again. From there on, it was tokage all over again. Yes, I won.
I played Gary's red deck and won, mainly with the life draining abilities of the Essence Sliver, but I don't remember for certain. I do know for certain that I won, though.
I played Justin and lost. Then, I played Alexei and won, although he put up a much better fight than before.
Yep, my Sliver deck may not be strong, but it's decent and still fun to play, especially if I can get out the Slivers I want.
At lunch, I duelled Alan's Counter deck. The first game, I got out a turn 3 Crystalline Sliver that Alan couldn't counter, so he immediately forfeited. Then, for the second game, I was mana screwed, so naturally, I lost.
Stephanie returned my book today. The funny thing was, she wasn't wearing her marshmellow hair thing today. You know, I haven't seen Steph for like a week.
Fifth period...
In sixth period, I managed to read 7 of the 9 stories. A lot of the other people complained that my story was really long, but many said that it was good, so I guess it balances out. You can read my story here.
After school, another nap. Then, I practiced that part that I really need practice in the 1812 Overture for the SJYS concert. Then, work on Dark Fiends.
I'm planning on changing the poll today.
Dice Roll of the Day: 6 + 3 = 9
Yes, I got the exact same roll as yesterday. The odds are only about 1/18, ya know?
So anyways, Good Night!
Wednesday, June 11, 2003 - Addendum--I finally remembered to post this card that Alan made and sent to me over a week ago.

That is all! Good Night!
Wednesday, June 11, 2003--During first period, I showed Justin the redone Econ stock presentation, and it was good... enough.
Second period... I got Stephanie to sign my yearbook. Now, I have both twins' signatures.
During T-period, I explained to Joanna that the suit was for the Econ project, because Mr. Jamil wants us to wear "business attire". I hate my tie! I hate my dress shoes!
Justin and I duelled during T-period. I beat him the first two games, but the first game, he was mana screwed, and the second game, he was mana clumped. In the third game, I was down to 7 life (Justin was at 16 or so) and I had a Ward Sliver (pro-red), Brood Sliver, and Sliver Queen in play. Justin had a Raging Goblin, a Goblin King, a Reckless One, and he played a second Reckless one and attacked with everything. I blocked a Reckless one with my Queen, the other with my Ward, and the Raging Goblin with my Brood. Thus, I took 2 damage from the King and killed off the Raging and one of the Reckless, and all my Sliver survived. Justin then used the Grenade, sacrificing the other Reckless One, killing me. But, after we packed up our cards, Justin realized that my Ward Sliver had dealt 2 damage to the Reckless One, and after killing off the other Reckless One and the Raging Goblin, the surviving Reckless One would have become a 2/2 with 2 damage on it, and thus would have died. Thus, Justin shouldn't have been able to use his Grenade and I shouldn't have died. Justin reasoned that I would have won because of my huge Sliver Queen (unblockable thanks to the Ward Sliver) and the Brood Sliver, so I could always pump tokens to act as blockers. Heh, the funny thing was, Justin expected me to block the King, not the Raging Goblin. If I had done that, he would have been able to Grenade me with his Raging Goblin. I'm not sure why I blocked the Raging Goblin instead. Maybe it was because I anticipated a Grenade? I don't really know, but the thing is, never depend on your opponent to make a decision you expect him to make. There are always surprises up a good Magic player's sleeves.
Third period... I forgot about the Brownies Minus One, so we had to go second with very little time left on the clock. Our stock presentation started out pretty badly. I was supposed to speak first, but I got confused about the order of the slides, so I messed up my part pretty badly. No wonder Jen, Beth, and Justin carved up the rest of what I was supposed to say and said it for themselves.
Our video went into passing period, though, but the class liked it. When Jamil heard the Gordon Gecko bit, he was like, "D'oh! Why'd you have to repeat that here?" Haha!
During fourth period, Shawn borrowed my Slivers and duelled Justin. He mulliganed once. Then, on the second draw, he got 5 Slivers, 3 of which were Plated, and one Thran Quarry. I was like, "Yeah, it'll be tough, but I think we can play off this." Thus, by turn 3, Shawn had three 1/4 creatures in play. Justin thought he was going to lose, but he managed to win.
Heh, I played a game against Gary and his green deck. He has so many huge creatures, but I had a Muscle Sliver, a Quick Sliver, an Essence Sliver, and a Volrath's Stronghold in play. Thus, I would double block with my Essence and another Sliver to kill his big creatures, but he would only be able to kill of one of my creatures, and I would bring it back next turn for another blocking. Eventually, he stopped, because he was losing creatures without doing damage while I was gaining Life. The bell rang. I had 27 Life to his 16, although he had the creature advantage. We're not sure who would have won, but I think I would have, because he was really discouraged by the Essence Sliver/Volrath's Stronghold "combo" I had on the field. I never even realized that they were a good combo, but they are. Volrath's Stronghold is just as good as regenerate--sometimes better than, because it can bring back creatures who died a long time ago.
At lunch, I asked her to a movie, and she said yes. I told her I'd call her later tonight to work out the details...
5th period...
In sixth period, we passed around our stories and had people read them. People said my story was long (perhaps too long since it's not double-spaced), but that it was a good story. Tiffany W/Christine L/Kristen's story was very, very touching, very sad. I liked it.
After school, I took a nice long nap. Then, I basically fooled around online and called her up to work out the details. Everything's going good, except there might be schedule problems because I'm so damn busy after school's out because the orchestra is forcing me into all-day rehearsals. Odds are, I ain't gonna have much free time until July 7th. Damn!
Dice Roll of the Day: 6 + 3 = 9
Ah, good life, Good Night!
Tuesday, June 10, 2003--I can't remember what I did this morning during 1st period. I'm pretty sure it had something to do with yearbooks and signing them, but I don't remember specifically.
Anyways, during second period, I got Stacie to sign my yearbook, but I didn't bother asking Stephanie.
In third period, our stock group realized we were screwed when we saw everyone else's presentations.
Fourth period...
At lunch, I hung out... at... that... place... Anyway, it was near to the place where you pick up yearbooks, and while Cindy was in line (either to get her yearbook or to wait for her friend who was getting a yearbook, I don't know which, I accosted her.)
Me: You! Sign my yearbook... please?
Cindy: Can I not?
Me: You don't want to?
Cindy: No.
Me: All right.
Fifth period...
During sixth period, we read Rime of the Ancient Mariner. Apparently, 6th period just plain sucks at interpretation.
After school, apparently, Mr. Yim wasn't here because his wife had a son, so I quickly dropped off my yearbook into the Math Team meeting at Miss Yamamoto's room and said to Lei and Michael, "Sign my yearbook, both of you. I don't care whether you sign it as one entity or sign it separately as long as it gets done." Lei looked at me funny because she apparently got my subtle reference. After that, I waited outside to direct Joanna into Miss Yamamoto's room. Good thing I did, because she walked into Mr. Yim's room before I could stop her.
Then, I signed Joanna's yearbook. It's the longest I've ever signed in anyone's yearbook thus far--a whole quarter of a page! (I don't write much.)
Anyways, after school, we filmed the rest of the commercial, including a parody of the Bud Fox/Gordon Gecko scene in Wall Street.
Justin: I have inside information from Corpnucopia that Vivendi Universal stock is going to rise. I strongly recommend you take it.
Me: Yeah, you take it... up that ass you goddamn slimebag cocksucker!
Haha, it was great.
After taking a nap, I spent the rest of the night redoing the Final Stock Writeup. "Corpnucopia, where the famous companies are. Come with us and we'll make you a happy stocker."
Then, I had to print out that plus 2 copies of Duty, which, by the way, is now on my website here.
Dice Roll of the Day: 6 + 6 = 12
Sweet mother of god! I rolled a 12! Woohoo! This is a good omen for me! Woohoo!
Anyways, Good Night!
Monday, June 9, 2003--Today, Linda wanted me to go see that Graph Theory stuff in Mr. Shelton's, but I decided not to. Instead, I got people to sign my yearbook and I discussed the Econ project with Justin. Then, I duelled against Justin and beat him 3 out of 5--all three times, he forfeited. Of course, one of them didn't count, because the game technically never began, because Justin mulliganned twice and kept getting bad hands.
Second period...
Oh, and the Econ project sucked. Third period...
Fourth period...
At lunch, I played against Nick and his Cake deck. I brought him down to 6 Life. Then, he managed to get his Infinite Turns thing out. In the meantime, I was distracted by some jerk. Then, I asked Nick, "How many turns did you take while I was distracted?" He says, "About ten thousand." "Oh, so I'm dead." "Technically no, but you've pretty much lost anyway." Yeah, I pretty much can't beat Nick if I can't move, right?
Fifth period...
In sixth period, I dropped my yearbook into the yearbook queue. Then, Andrew showed up having borrowed Ryan's deck (best deck at Leland High School, I swear to god) and challenges me to a game. I accept, then get my ass creamed. Alan then joins in with his Green deck and we play a 3-way FFA. In the end, Andrew had the most life and I had the least, and the bell rang, so we packed up and left.
After school, we went to Justin's to film for our Corpnucopia advertisements. It was pretty cool.
Then, I went to the SJYS rehearsal, which, for some reason, was at Lincoln. Of the 5 violists, only Bob and I showed up, so I sat Principal and Bob sat Assistant, and we sucked... well, only for that one bit in 1812 that I suck at, but otherwise, we played pretty decently.
Ah, the dice...
Dice Roll of the Day: 2 + 1 = 3
Hello! Good Night! (That's what I said to Emma and Beth at the rehearsal today.)
Sunday, June 8, 2003--*yawn* I wake up.
I finish the Econ Final Project.
Now, I got all the boring stuff out of the way.
I play FF1.
*1*The Marsh Cave is pretty big, and not only that, but the enemies in there are pretty tough. Still, after four trips, I managed to explore most of it (only most of it), but I managed to get the crown. There were Mystic-Key-locked doors down there, so I decided to beat Astos and get the Mystic Key before I explore the rest of the cave, so I did.
Astos was pretty easy. Haste is a useful spell. It turned my double-hitting Warrior to a 4x-hitting Warrior. I did that once, plus Ice2, and Astos (King of Dark Elves) was toast.
Now I have hella money.
I was wrong. The Thief does not suck. All I needed was to get a good sword for him, and it was a pretty damn good sword I found in that locked room in the Temple of Chaos.
I haven't finished exploring the Marsh Cave yet, but I will next week.*1*
Then, I play FF2.
*2*I returned the Mythril to Altair, so now I can buy Mythril weapons and armor, but they're pretty damn expensive. I also found three paths to get from Altair to Poft without using the Ferry. Hehe... Two of them, though, put you through territory that forces you to fight damn powerful enemies. One of those areas was close enough to Gatrea (where I could use the Inn), that I managed to fight there to gain hella cash and strength. Of course, it wasn't the gold that the enemies dropped, but the Berserk Scroll and the Mage's Staff that I sold for hella money that got me enough to buy all that Mythril equipment.
Then, Princess Hilda wanted me to go to Bafsk to destroy the Dreadnought. "Hurry and destroy it before it's completed." I go to Bafsk and fight through a small dungeon. "Too late! The Dreadnought is complete." And the damn thing flies away and destroys a whole bunch of cities on the way. Damn...
Mindu left my party. Damn... Now, I'll have to go to Bafsk and buy that Esuna Scroll... or maybe not. We'll see if I can get along without it first.
So, they told me to talk to Cid to find out how to destroy the Dreadnought. The Dreadnought is just like an Airship, except it has lots of weapons on it. To destroy an Airship, you just destroy its engine. Airship Engines are powered by the Sunfire, which is hard to control. If you have too much of it, it blows up in your face. So I can use the Sunfire to destroy the Dreadnought, and there's a Sunfire burning in Kas'ion. (I saw it myself there earlier while exploring.) However, I'll need an Egil's Torch to carry the Sunfire, which I assume is inside Kas'ion because they did a ritual every 3 years involving Egil's Torch and lighting it with the Sunfire. Except the Kas'ion castle gates are locked, and I'll need the Goddess's Bell. Unfortunately, only Scott (who is dead) and Gordon (who is a coward) know where it is, but wait, Hilda was Scott's lover, so she knows where it is! It's in the snow fields behind Salamand. Good thing that guy told me earlier where Josef keeps his Snowcraft. Now, my next mission, to Semitt Falls to get the Snowcraft!
Wow! That was a long-winded mission briefing... And all this just to destroy the Dreadnought.*2*
Ah, well, that is all. Time for me to roll dice.
Dice Roll of the Day: 4 + 1 = 5
Ah, well, that's all. Time for me to say Good Night!
Saturday, June 7, 2003--Not much happened today...
When I woke up, I tried to do the Econ Final Project Writeup, but then, I had to go the SJYS dress rehearsal before the concert. The rehearsal was quite uneventful, but Connie didn't show up at the concert. What a waste of tickets!
Anyways, after the concert, Ihui packed up and walked away. I thought, "Wouldn't that be interesting if Iwen were also here?" Then, I saw Iwen, and she asks me, "Have you seen Ihui?" Of course, I had, but I didn't know where she went.
After the concert, I went to Ryan's house, where we played Magic for a while. First, I played Mark and I creamed him. Then, I played Alan, and I underestimated him. I thought he'd be a pushover, so I didn't mulligan despite the fact that I had a horrible opening hand. Anyways, I lost, so I played him again. This time, I actually tried, and I mulliganed because I had a bad hand. I beat him with my Essence Sliver (plus others), so that at the end, the score was 37 to -1.
We went to Chili's for dinner, but it was packed full and the line was ridiculously long, so we went to Florentine's instead for dinner. It was good that we went there instead of Fresh Choice because I didn't get to go to Ravioli's for lunch today, so I wanted Spaghetti with Meatballs. No, Alan, this is not an innuendo. (Alan agrees. He says I'd have to order it with a big hunk of sausage to turn it into an innuendo, which I didn't.) Franklin ordered the Cheese Ravioli, because he didn't realize that there was no meat in the Cheese Ravioli. Later, he trades his Cheese Ravioli for Mark's Veal and Spinach Ravioli and comes to the conclusion that they both suck.
Oh, there was a lot of perversion in our conversation, most memorable (and least perverted) was "Would you do a woman while falling down a bottomless pit?"
Afterwards, we came back and we played two games of Emperor, the first one I was the Emperor, the second one, I was General. In both games, Ryan killed me in one hit.
After that, I kind of brooded, not really doing much. Before midnight, I decided to go home, and not much happened after that.
Dice Roll of the Day: 4 + 3 = 7
Another 7!
Enough of this. Good Night!
Friday, June 6, 2003--The day began pointlessly...
First period...
In second period, I looked over to where Stephanie sits (in front of me and diagonally to the right) and saw Stacie, so I said to her, "You're not Stephanie." Jason says, "How could you tell?" I say, "Can you tell them apart?" He says, "Not really." Heheh. Incidentally, Stacie and Stephanie are on the "Identical Twins" page of the yearbook.
Third period...
In fourth period, we had a six-player 3v3 duel--me, Justin, and Shawn/Alexei (using Justin's black deck) vs Nathan, Gary, and Victor (using Gary's blue white deck). In the beginning, we kept dropping them for life, but eventually, they got out some really good defenses. Victor (in the middle) played a Bodyguard and passed it to Nathan (on the right), so whenever we tried to deal damage to Nathan, the damage would be redirected to the Bodyguard. Then, Gary (on the left) played Regeneration on the Bodyguard, so Nathan become Invincible. Then, Victory played Island Sanctuary and Nathan sent him a whole bunch of huge, flying angels, and they had a tome that allowed him to draw a card for 4 mana, so Victor had some super tough defenses. Then, for Gary, he had a 3/5 flying Wall of Swords, a Gaia's Liege (which was untapped more than half the time), and a 6/6 Wiitigo. At the end, we had 62 life to their 15, so although technically it was a draw, I think eventually, we could have broken them open and beaten them.
Last night, I had 2 SJYS tickets I needed to give away, so I called up Connie and offered them to her, and she accepted. So today at lunch, I was looking for her to give her the tickets (I usually see her at lunch anyways) but I couldn't find her. She wasn't in the Anime Club (the Anime Club guy tried to ensnare me back into the club). She wasn't at Math Club (she never is), but for some reason Joanna was. Joanna volunteered (she forgave me after the e-mail I sent her) to deliver the tickets to her. "I trust you with those tickets," I said.
(It later turned out that I could trust Joanna with the tickets.)
So me and the five freshmen had an intriguing conversation... it was really ludicrous. I took off my glasses.
Fifth period...
In sixth period, we were supposed to give our presentations, but first, Jen, Andrew, me, and so many other people decided to flock to H-5 to get our Yearbooks. When we got back, Miss Koyanagi was so mad. Anyway, Andrew and I gave our presentation today. It was very amusing... very strange... very pointless--but that's Godot for you.
Miss Koyanagi made us stay inside after school just to say, "I'm being nice to this whole week and this is how you repay me? Now get out!" On my way out, I said to Andrew, "Well, that was easier than I thought."
After school, I got a slew of people to sign my yearbook, including, but not limited to, all three Math Team Freshgirls. Stephanie Yaung wrote, "What is the probability that you will stop thinking about probability?" It was the most amusing thing anyone wrote in my yearbook. Connie wanted to stand out. "Can I use a different pen? Because this is blue and everyone else on your yearbook used blue." Right...
Anyways, at home, today was my last Viola lesson. Beforehand, I spent a while reading my yearbook. It was amusing. They had to edit out the "integral e to the x" joke (for those of you who know calculus, you should know what word it looks like) and change it to calculator code: fnInt(e^x).
Haha, 8 people on the National Merit page talked about pie. Justin said, "Ask not what you can do for your country, but what your country can do for you. (Not to be confused with the JFK quote!)"
Dice Roll of the Day: 6 + 4 = 10
Well, that seems to be it for today.
Good Night!
Thursday, June 5, 2003--Anyways, today, before school, I played Nick's cake deck and almost beat him. I was only one turn away, and he drew Cunning Wish, so he had to go. He probably would have won, but we don't know for certain. What I do know for certain is that if I had terrored his Draw Card creature earlier (which I could have easily done--I had the mana available), then he would be 2 cards away from the Cunning Wish. He had only 2 life left and I had a Plated and a Winged, so he couldn't block them. He said he had a bad opening hand, but I still consider that a victory for myself, since Nick's a highly reputable player.
First period...
Second period...
Third period...
In Fourth period, I played Gary's burns and lost pathetically. Then, I played against Justin's goblins and lost twice. For the third game, Justin let me engineer my starting hand, so I packed in 4 Muscles, a Plated, a Plains, and a Forest. With those 7 cards alone, I creamed Justin, but it was an illegit match to begin with.
At lunch, I duelled Daniel once, Sliver against Sliver. I lost. Then, I played Nick, who used his Cake deck again. He became Invincible because he got out his Cunning Wish/Mirari combo, then used the Cunning Wishes to bring back these Fog-like cards, except they have flashback, so Nick just kept bringing them back. He had two of them, which made it even more Invincible. Then, to add insult to injury, he Artificial Evolution'ed my Sliver Queen into the Squirrel Queen. I tried pumping out a bunch of Squirrel tokens and using Coat of Arms, but he Naturalized it. Then, the bell rang, so the game was over.
Fifth period...
Sixth period... our Godot with a twist is coming along very, very well.
I went to the orthodontist because my retainer doesn't fit.
Dr. Steinhoff: Do you know why we can't get your retainer to fit?
Me: I dunno. Why?
Steinhoff: Physics. Two objects cannot exist in the same location at the same time. Either your wisdom teeth stays there and you can't wear your retainer or you pull your wisdom teeth so your retainer wire can go there.
I guess it makes sense.
Woohoo! Dark Fiends Chapter 23 is up.
I think Joanna's mad at me.
I have 2 free tickets to the SJYS concert this Saturday that I need to give away. I ended up calling up Connie and giving them to her.
Dice Roll of the Day: 4 + 4 = 8
Heh, I spent a lot of yesterday solving the Scourge Fat Pack Puzzle on MagicTheGathering.com. It was really cool. To quote Alan, "That solution is crazy!" Crazy, but it works.
So, that's the end of my day. Not much of a day, except the MTG playing.
Good Night!
Wednesday, June 4, 2003--Let's start the day off with a Magic game. I played against Mahdi (sp?) and his elf deck and I lost because his Elf Deck is fast and I only got 4 Slivers or so, so naturally, I was overran. Alan and I agree that Justin should duel Mahdi.
First period... I chose not to play Magic with the guys today.
Second period...
Woot! T-period! I, once again, got a frivolous pass to go to Mr. Yim's room for a frivolous reason to do frivolous work. It's all about the frivolity, yo! Anyway, within the first 5 or 10 minutes, the MAH kids swarmed into our room. Vivian Chu's leg was still broken. Oh, I forgot to mention. Yesterday, she was running around with a cast and some crutches. Apparently, she broke her leg while playing basketball. Then, Andrea got kicked out of Mr. Yim's room--today, I mean. To quote Lei Huang, "Poor Andrea!"
The bell rings...
Linda: Well, time to go to class.
Me: What if I don't want to go to class? What if I want to sit here and do nothing?
Linda: You have to go to class, since you have Econ third period.
Third period...
In fourth period, I played against Justin several times with his black deck against his red deck and almost won once, but then I lost. Yeah, all the other games I lost miserably. Apparently, while we were playing, they did the thermite reaction outside and we missed it. I heard it was so powerful, the pot shattered and spewed molten iron... into the bucket. No one was burned.
At lunch I duelled Daniel. He Swords to Plowshared so many of my creatures. Then, he got out his Icy Manipulator to tap away my remaining defender (singular) and Scalpelexis and decked me out. It didn't matter that I still had 18 Life or so when the game ended.
Next, I played Nick, who used his "Mirari's Cake" deck. In the beginning, I was beating down his ass with my Slivers. Then, he managed to play an enchantment that said if he had 5 or less life at the beginning of his upkeep, he draws 3 cards and gains 3 life. Then, he destroyed my attacking force with Kirtar's Wrath and wasted 2 Instants to get Threshold so that he could get 2 spirit tokens. Then, he played Worship, says that as long as he controls a creature, he can't be reduced to less than 1 life. Since I didn't have Hunter Slivers any more, I didn't have any way of killing off those 2 spirit tokens, so he was pretty much invincible. That and he had an Erhnam Djinn on the field, which was actually a problem. As the bell was about to ring, I forfeited.
I'll be sure to play more Magic tomorrow.
Fifth period...
Sixth period...
The 9th-graders don't really see how restrictive the new T-period is compared to the old T-period. They never really knew the old T-period.
After school, I took a nice long nap and woke up to work on Dark Fiends chapter 23. It should be up sometime tonight, but don't blame me if it isn't. Blame the old man on the roof. (Just kidding. There is no old man on the roof. The new chapter will be finished today.)
All in all--
Dice Roll of the Day: 5 + 4 = 9
Okay, Good Night!
Tuesday, June 3, 2003--Today, Franklin had to go to school early to do the MAH Test #3, so I got to sleep in for a while.
First period... I almost beat Ryan, but his Rancor'ed Thran Golem flew me to death. Next, I duelled Justin and beat him 2 out of 3. One of those times, he had bad mana flow.
Second period...
Third period...
Today, I fourth period, I was talking to Nadia, and I told her that I had read her Xanga, with the implication, of course, that I noticed the reference to myself on her Xanga. She then tells me that her boyfriend David has been reading my website and that he's obsessed with getting a mention on my website. Well, David, here's your mention. She also said that he wanted to play MTG against me. Eh, whatever. All challenges are welcome. It's a matter of when and where.
At lunch... Hmmm... Nothing.
Fifth period...
Sixth period...
After school was the Math Team meeting. It wasn't very eventful.
I'm beginning to regret doing what I have done. I'm beginning to understand things that I didn't know before...
John Nash and Game Theory... if 3 guys go after a girl, none of them will get her, but if 1 guy goes for the girl, he'll be more likely to get her. However, none of the guys are willing to give up on the girl to let someone else have her, so all of them go after her and all of them get rejected.
Some people are weird...
Meh, I don't have much to say. So tired...
Dice Roll of the Day: 4 + 2 = 6
Good Night!
Monday, June 2, 2003--I couldn't find my keys in the morning.
Justin: What? You couldn't find your penis?
Me: I couldn't find my keys! What? Are you death or something?
Justin: What? Am I death?
Me: I said deaf, not death.
Justin: Oh, my bad.
Me: Naw, I really said death. Just kidding with you, that's all.
I eventually found them. That's how I got to school so I could talk to Justin in the morning.
Anyways, Will borrowed Ryan's green/red deck, and I duelled and won with my Sliver Overlord, killing him.
I then duelled Justin's goblin deck and lost pathetically. Now, Justin wants to build a Sliver deck.
Math 78 is over...
Second period...
Third period...
In fourth period, Andrew and Mr. Roske did a failed lab activity, the thermite reaction. It kind of worked, but the pot was too big for a sustained reaction. It still looked pretty cool though, flares and setting stuff on fire.
Lunch... (Wow, even lunch has nothing on it this time.)
Fifth period...
Sixth period...
Boring day... I think I'm thinking too much of things I shouldn't be thinking about...
Anyways, tomorrow is the last day to buy tickets for the Senior Ball. The Senior Ball is this saturday. So I'm thinking it's not too late to ask out a girl yet. Only one problem, the girl I want to ask out wasn't online today and I don't know her phone number and the person who knows her phone number I don't know her phone number so I can't call to ask for her phone number. Very complicated, and yet very simple.
So I sent her an e-mail, but by the time she replies, it'll be too late. Oh, well... Maybe I shouldn't have asked out that other girl...
I went to the SJYS rehearsal today. Uneventful...
*yawn*
Dice Roll of the Day: 5 + 1 = 6
*sigh*
Good Night!
Sunday, June 1, 2003--I wake up at 9:30am today and see a note posted on my door from my mom timestampped with "8:30". Right... I was at home with money to go eat at McDonald's at lunch.
However, before lunch, I played FF2.
*2*That Semitt Cave was pretty long, but I got lots of money from my trip. The creatures were easy, except for the occasion Green Slime that popped up that was so damn hard to kill! The boss was easy. The secret is to use your fists, not your swords and axes. Then, there was a Spiketoise hidden inside a chest. He was tricky, but easily beatable. I think my characters are way too strong... Nah, Mindu's still stronger, and he's in my party.*2*
After lunch, I played FF1.
*1*I made it to the Marsh Cave. It took me a while to find a way around that mountain, but once I got in, I found some pretty strong monsters. Good thing I did all that fighting and level upping, right?*1*
Later, I taught Steph to play chess. Then, we played. I felt really bad that she was losing so pathetically, so instead of checkmating her, I stalemated her. (She only had 1 King and 1 pawn that wasn't going to make it and I had lots of material, including a Queen.)
Then, I was testing my Sliver Legends B-Type deck against Franklin's decks. I creamed his Elves, I creamed his Beasts, and I put up a really good fight against his Counter/Control Deck, bringing him down to 4 life before I died.
Hmm... not much happens after this. Heh, a short entry for once... Ah, well.
Dice Roll of the Day: 2 + 2 = 4
Good Night!
