About The Dark Chocolate Sanctuary
This is the 3rd iteration of my personal website. The 1st iteration was a static Geocities page. The 2nd iteration was my first foray into PHP coding with MySQL as a backing store. This iteration, I'm applying what I've learned as a software developer to make a newer and easier to use template (although the layout is identical). I'm also using WordPress (with a custom theme) as my blogging solution and will be integrating it with Facebook. And it's now called The Dark Chocolate Sanctuary, as a throwback to the old name.
Unlike the last iteration, I won't be migrating my old content over. (Although I might bring back some stuff "From the Archives" every now and then.) Instead, this new website will be focused mostly on my music (with sheet music and videos) and my crazy cooking experiments (with recipes, photos, and write-ups).
The starry background is a throwback to the amateur web design aesthetics of the 1990s.
